Compelled by this revelation, Michael now straddles the line between his former skepticism and a newfound quest to uncover the truths veiled within legendary tales, positioning him as a great addition to and knowledgeable link between the mundane and the mythical within the Keepers of the Hidden Library.

The routine procedure took an uncanny turn when Douglas discovered the sailor’s distinctly non-human tusks, revealing the sailor to be an unusual creature disguised amidst the unsuspecting populace of Ealanwick. Intrigued and alarmed, Douglas discreetly followed his patient after the appointment, overhearing a conversation that unveiled a hidden world where mythical beings covertly walk among the humans. Uncertain where to turn Douglas found the Hidden Library and was invited to join the ranks of the Keepers.

Cassidie discovered the recent livestock slaughterings were really committed by a Cù-Sìth, a fae hound that should only exist in folk tales. Recognizing the injured creature's true nature and employing her bushcraft and cunning, she healed the Cù-Sìth. Thus, by earning its respect, she convinced the creature to return to its own realm. Despite sharing her extraordinary encounter, skeptics dismissed her tale, equating the fae creature to mere wildlife. However, this act of courage and insight caught the attention of the Keepers of the Hidden Library, who extended an invitation to join their secretive order.
